- Testing Early = Better Code: Writing tests revealed design improvements in stores
- Mocking Strategy Matters: Global mocks in setup.ts simplify individual tests
- Store Tests Are Straightforward: Pinia + createPinia() makes testing easy
- Composables Need More Mocking: Socket.io lifecycle is complex but doable
- Backend Tests = Great Reference: 730+ tests show excellent patterns
⚠️ Important Notes
Do NOT:
- Skip the npm install (tests won't run without deps)
- Try to run backend tests from frontend directory
- Mock Pinia stores in tests (use real stores with createPinia())
DO:
- Use

afterEach()hooks - Test both happy path AND error cases
- Keep tests independent (no shared state)
