IMPORTANT CARD CREATION RULES

BP-HR (Ballpark Home Runs) Must Be Whole Numbers

CRITICAL RULE: BP-HR values must ALWAYS be whole numbers (integers), never decimals.

Examples:

  • ✓ Correct: bp_homerun: 0, bp_homerun: 1, bp_homerun: 2, bp_homerun: 3
  • ✗ Wrong: bp_homerun: 0.55, bp_homerun: 1.5, bp_homerun: 2.3

Why: BP-HR represents ballpark-specific home run chances and must be discrete values for game mechanics.

HBP (Hit By Pitch) Must Be Whole Numbers

CRITICAL RULE: HBP values must ALWAYS be whole numbers (integers), never decimals.

Examples:

  • ✓ Correct: hbp: 0, hbp: 1, hbp: 2
  • ✗ Wrong: hbp: 0.70, hbp: 1.5, hbp: 0.75

Why: HBP represents discrete events and must be whole numbers for game mechanics.

When Creating Custom Cards

  1. After calculating ratings, manually set BP-HR and HBP to whole numbers
  2. Redistribute any fractional values to other result types (typically singles)
  3. Rebalance to maintain 108.0 total chances
